Win XP on a PowerBookG4

Boy has it been a long day! I just spent the better part of an evening setting up my father-in-laws virtual PC 7.0 so it can run Windows XP. Unfortunately we had to install the older version 5.0 first as it had the Win XP OS on it. Version 5.0 was slower than molasses in winter!

Once we got version virtual PC 7.0 installed and we imported the previous virtual drive, things went faster. It actually works pretty decent on his PowerBook G4. Ron wanted to use some Logos Bible Software and it was PC only. Now he has a Mac that also runs Win(doze).

I think my next laptop will be a 12” PowerBook as they are just so sweet! I still have a PC and Mac at home and think they work well together. I’d network the PowerBook and my PC and have the best of both worlds. Apple still has the better OS if you ask me. It is sleek, cool, and makes me want to ditch XP.

I’ve never seen a PC run Panther. But Virtual PC 7.0 runs XP with marginal speed if you are not gaming. For an emulator, v.7, is pretty decent. If it gets any better, I’d seriously consider ditching the PC and use a G5 to run my bible software.

Logos is some pretty good software (which is what I have as I have a PC), but Accordance is better and is for the Mac. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in there. ;)
